Description

We are seeking to appoint a Civil Designer in a full-time permanent position in our Cairns office. Reporting to the Group Leader, the Civil Designer will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in all facets of land, urban subdivision projects in this region. The role will suit an experienced 12D Designer who has worked on civil projects for Councils, Transport Main Roads or private development.

The role

  • Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using 12D (land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems as well as associated infrastructure)

  • Interpreting civil design requirements State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clients

  • Interfacing with associated disciplines such as planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping

  • Interacting with clients regarding project needs ensuring that expert and quality service is delivered

  • Collaborating with diverse teams nationally

About you

  • Demonstrated civil design/drafting experience within a consulting environment

  • Relevant qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience ideally using 12D

  • Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
