We’re seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our esteemed team at our Head Office in London.As a Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee the Finance and Treasury activities, ensuring the Bank maintains adequate financial resources while managing risks within the set risk appetite by the Board. You will coordinate the business planning process, overseeing and reporting on the implementation of strategy in accordance with plans. It will be your responsibility to keep the Board informed of all relevant events and changes in statutory and regulatory requirements affecting their duties as directors of UNB. Additionally, you will ensure the implementation of the TCF framework and MI within the team, serving as a PRA Approved Person SMF2 and acting as the Senior Accounting Officer for HMRC matters.Chief Financial Officer Requirements:

  • Budgeting & financial accounting knowledge
  • Business risk management knowledge
  • Market & industry knowledge
  • Operations & process management knowledge
  • Product & services knowledge
  • Experience using PC Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in Whistlebrook Financials, WIRES, etc.
  • Good understanding of regulation and compliance within organisations authorised by the FCA and PRA.
  • Experience working in, or supporting, a principal investing or structuring business, with the ability to work across internal and external teams.
  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in various financial and senior management roles.
  • Experience of Project Management, Risk Management and Information Technology is beneficial.
  • Full understanding of banking operations within a highly regulated environment is a must.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, accounting, government & regulatory requirements across the regions.
  • Knowledge of financial and business processes in the Banking industry.
  • Knowledge of best practice accounting and corporate governance principles & structures.
  • Commercial bias and up to speed with general strategic issues/developments within Financial Services sector.
  • Proven ability to challenge/communicate at a Board level.
