Eurofins Dermatest Australia is a trusted provider of sunscreen and skin care product evaluation services to international and local clients in accordance with recognised global protocols. We offer a broad range of testing and consulting services in support of regulatory compliance, quality, safety, and product performance assessments across categories including cosmetics and personal care, hygiene and hair care. A rare and exciting opportunity has become available in the sunscreen, and cosmetics testing industry for a casual Chemist to join our team. The Chemist will be responsible for the routine testing of products. Training will be provided, and there is potential for this role to move to a contract/fixed term position.

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager the role will focus on:

• Performing a range of chemical and physical testing activities, with a focus on HPLC analysis & stability studies.

• Processing & reporting data using advanced software.

• Adhering to testing procedures.

• Operating under relevant Australia and New Zealand rules & regulations.

• Result entry and review.

• Performing investigations as required.

• Liaise with other Eurofins labs for subcontracted work.

As an important role within Eurofins Dermatest Australia, the following selection criteria are essential for success:

• Degree in Chemistry or related discipline.

• Previous experience in a lab environment.

• Previous experience in the cosmetics and sunscreen testing industry will be highly regarded.

• Ability to multitask.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work within a team with minimal supervision to tight timelines.

• Sound Report writing skills.
