Position Overview:

Platform for Peace and Humanity are recruiting for a new role within the organisation, responsible for the ongoing development of our focus on the Causasus region, particularly as it relates to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Caucasus Project Coordinator’s key responsibility is to lead the coordination and development of high quality and well-designed proposals from initial development to grant submission. The bulk of the Coordinator’s work will be identifying and engaging with new funding opportunities. The Caucasus Project Coordinator will report mainly to the SEEBSR Programme Director.

Whilst this is currently an unpaid role, this is a senior role within the organisation. This role is ideal for someone looking to remotely demonstrate leadership and development in an international environment alongside their other commitments.

Start date: asap

Duration: min. 12 months

Commitment: 5-10 h/week, flexible work hours

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support in the development of well-designed projects for submission to institutional donors
  • Seek out, identify, and track funding opportunities and develop potential revenue streams
  • Maintain and organise the grants files, emails, timelines, donor records relevant to grant submissions
  • Closely cooperate with project coordinators and directors across the organisation, ensuring project and regional visibility (incl. relevant blog and Monitor posts)
  • Contribute to maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders

Qualifications:

Mandatory

  • Passion and dedication to the mission and values of the organisation, result-driven commitment, ability to work in an international team and handle uncertain situations with flexibility
  • Master’s degree in international law, international security, peace and conflict studies or other related fields
  • Good orientation in the latest developments in the region
  • High level written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to convey complex information and messages in a simple way and easily understood by target audiences

Desirable

  • Experience in grant and proposal writing
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with out-of-the-box thinking to propose new initiatives
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills
  • Previous experience with non-profit organisations and project management
  • Experience in the Caucasus region is an asset
  • Proficiency in other language(s), relevant to the Caucasus region is an asset
