Trainer for Digital Advocacy Workshop
Women, Peace, and Security Agenda (WPSA) – October 2024
Background
The Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization committed to advancing women’s rights as human rights. In partnership with the EuroMed Feminist Initiative and other regional CSOs, AWO is leading efforts to enhance the implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda (WPSA) in Jordan.
To strengthen digital advocacy capacities, AWO is seeking a qualified trainer to conduct a three day workshop in the second half of October 2024. The workshop will focus on equipping CSOs and CBOs with the necessary skills to advance the WPSA through digital platforms, advocating for gender equality and women’s participation in peace building processes.

Workshop Objective
The primary objective of the workshop is to empower participants with the skills and tools required for effective digital advocacy. This includes enhancing their ability to promote the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda within Jordan using modern digital tools and platforms to increase visibility, engagement, and influence in national and international discourses.
Workshop Focus Areas
- Digital Advocacy for WPSA: Understanding the role of digital advocacy in promoting the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda.
- Social Media Strategy: Developing effective social media strategies to amplify WPSA related campaigns.
- Content Creation: Crafting compelling digital content, including graphics, videos, and stories that align with WPSA goals.
- Online Campaigns: Practical skills for organizing and running online campaigns using platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Monitoring and Analytics: Understanding how to track, analyze, and adapt digital campaigns based on audience engagement and performance metrics.
- Digital Safety and Ethics: Ensuring the ethical use of digital platforms while safeguarding the privacy and security of advocates and organizations.
Trainer Responsibilities
- Develop a tailored three-day training curriculum focusing on digital advocacy within the WPSA framework.
- Deliver interactive and practical sessions that cover the use of various digital platforms for advocacy, content creation, and campaign execution.
- Provide guidance on the integration of gender-responsive advocacy in digital campaigns.
- Facilitate group discussions, hands-on activities, and case studies relevant to digital advocacy in Jordan.
- Assess participants’ pre-existing knowledge and tailor training to their needs.
- Submit a comprehensive post-training report, including evaluations, recommendations, and an action plan for participants.
Deliverables
- A detailed training curriculum focused on digital advocacy for WPSA.
- Interactive training sessions including materials, presentations, and practical exercises.
- Customized tools and templates for future use by participants.
- A post-training evaluation report summarizing the workshop outcomes, including participants’ feedback and recommendations for follow-up activities.
Workshop Date and Duration
- Date: Second half of October 2024 (exact dates to be confirmed).
- Duration: 3 days.
Location
The training will take place in Amman, Jordan. Specific location details will be provided to the selected trainer.
Qualifications and Experience
The trainer should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in digital advocacy and campaigning, particularly within the WPSA or gender equality frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda.
- Expertise in content creation, social media strategy, and digital safety.
- Experience working with CSOs, CBOs, or similar organizations in Jordan or the Middle East.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interactive training skills.
- Ability to develop tailored training materials that reflect the socio-political and cultural context of Jordan.
