This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about.We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Business Sanctions Controller to join our Pershing EMEA CAO team. Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across EMEA. We provide sophisticated front-end technology and flexible middle office capabilities with execution, settlement and custody services. These are supported by a robust regulatory and compliance framework with dedicated client asset experience and expertise. This role is located in Liverpool and is hybrid, requiring 4 days in office.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Serve as the first point of contact for business sanctions-related inquiries, including escalation to Global Sanctions Compliance, as necessary, and draft and coordinate external sanctions specific client out-reach, where needed
- Monitor, assess, develop, and implement applicable sanctions controls within the Business
- Identify, escalate and coordinate sanctions issues and relevant screening gaps to GSC and ESOS, where required, and monitor and track until remediated
- Manage a team of 3 direct reports
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Prior experience of managing teams
- Relevant number of years’ experience working in a Sanctions or AML role (1LOD or 2LOD)
- Experience in trading, brokerage, fraud or law or preferred.
