As a Business Development Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of our growth strategy for individual product sales in a defined region in the EEA. You’ll build strong relationships with brokers and partners, uncover new commercial opportunities, and help shape the future of international private medical insurance (IPMI). Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build and manage profitable relationships with brokers and partners, delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities for portfolio growth.
  • Increase Bupa Global’s share of the individual broker market across the EEA.
  • Lead face-to-face business engagement with top-tier brokers, conducting regular portfolio reviews and co-creating growth plans.
  • Develop new commercial opportunities with potential partners such as family offices, banks, and wealth management firms.
  • Stay close to the market — uncovering insights, tracking competitor activity, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ensure product and service knowledge is always up to date, enabling consultative selling and effective education of intermediaries.
  • Handle complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to meet and exceed sales targets, sharing trends and best practices.
  • Travel regularly across the region to meet partners and attend events.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying and implementing ideas that drive the business forward.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s confident, curious, and committed to delivering results. You’ll bring:

  • A background in sales within global health insurance or transferable experience from financial services.
  • Experience working with legal and regulatory frameworks and managing third-party relationships.
  • Strong understanding of business development processes and how they connect with pricing, risk, marketing, product, and operations.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage high-value contracts.
  • The ability to travel regularly across Europe and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
