About The RoleWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Applications Manager to join the Sunbelt Rentals IT Team.As a Business Applications Manager you take a hands on approach to make configuration changes and will be responsible for planning and managing platform upgrades / patches, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions to updated versions, along with planning and prioritising enhancements with the business owners.You will work closely with the Test Manager to make and develop regression test plans, and where possible automate these to maximise efficiency of the process using a risk-based methodology.Key Responsibilities will include:
- Maximizing value from core SaaS / COTS platforms
- Proactively planning and managing a forward schedule of work, relational to upgrades and enhancements.
- Make configuration changes to platforms
- Ensuring best practice is embedded and followed relational to implementations and configurations of platforms, with a key focus on security and operational efficiency.
- Liaising with other key stakeholders and teams.
- Engaging with the Change board to ensure properly managed and approved deployments.
- Develop and Build relationships with business product owners and stakeholders.
- Liaise with vendor manager on renewals & licensing requirements.
- Manage Role and persona configuration, review and monitor allocations ensuring compliance
- Work with Infrastructure and Security teams to setup and manage Monitoring tooling across products where possible and appropriate.
