As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Burner to work in our Forge department. This role will involve burning and oxygen lancing hot forgings to the desired size and specifications required.Role Responsibilities

• Burning and oxygen lancing hot forgings.

• Sealing cracks within forgings.

• Crane driving.

• Manage the burning up and removal of scrap pieces from the forge.

• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines set by the company.

• Ensure all check sheets and other documentation is completed accurately and completely.

About YouThe following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required.Previous experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage, particularly any crane driving and / or oxy lance burning experience.An understanding of health and safety in the workplace.Previously working in a heavy engineering environment is an advantage.Good communication skills.Willing & able to undertake shift work.Days/Hours of Work40 hours per week.
