Within our family of 24 consultancies and marketing businesses (our brands), we focus on solving our clients’ growth problems.Role overviewWe’re looking for a hands-on Building Maintenance Operative to join our team in London. Reporting to our Head of Operations, you will oversee and carry out maintenance, safety, and functionality in the building. You will work closely with various teams and brands (our internal businesses) to address any challenges and improve the overall work environment.You would typically work onsite in our central London building but may need to visit other Next 15 sites and may, very rarely, work evenings or weekends in the event of special projects.As a Building Maintenance Operative at Next 15, you will:Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements to ensure they are functioning correctly.Schedule and supervise repairs and light renovations.Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.Monitor and enforce safety to minimise risks and maintain compliance with building regulations.Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory of supplies and equipment.Collaborate with brands and other teams such as Operations and IT to understand needs and develop plans to support business facilities.Assist in the planning and execution of logistics for events and meetings, office moves, space allocations and expansions.Respond promptly to any unexpected events and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and minimise disruptions.Stay informed about trends, technologies, and best practices in building management.You will bring:Proficiency in a range of skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance.Ability to diagnose problems and determine the most effective course of action for repairs and maintenance.Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.Familiarity with platforms such as Building Management Systems (BMS).Previous experience in a similar role.And in return, Next 15 offers:Excellent salary6% matched pension contributions30 days annual leaveGreen Car scheme that saves you up to 40% on the cost of driving an electric car with a wide variety of cars to choose fromGroup Life insuranceOpen and collaborative workplace cultureWhy Us?At Next 15, our people are our biggest investment and greatest asset.
