Broadcom Data Centre Security Engineer in Remote, Australia

Working arrangements: Candidates must work from Services Australia’s Canberra office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Length of contract: 12 Months

Contract extensions: 2 x 12 months

Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1

Rates: $110 – $140 per hour (inc. super)

Services Australia is seeking a Broadcom Symantec Data Centre Security Engineer who will have the ability to provide detail design for optimised solution, improve the current implementation of Data Centre Security and guide the team on end-to-end best practices.

Primary Technologies:

• Broadcom Data Centre Security

• Microsoft AppLocker

• Windows Active Directory

• Windows PowerShell

Key duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform BAU operations, maintenance and management of Broadcom DCS.

• Planning, scheduling, and implementing periodical patch, bug fixes and major system upgrades for Broadcom DCS.

• Document technical knowledge in the knowledge database (Standard Operating Procedures), update detailed design and as built documentation.

• Server management migration from DCS to AppLocker.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in the daily operations and management of Broadcom DCS, including but not limited to identity, application security and control.

• Isolating and resolving the root cause of the technical support issues.

• Implementing daily health checks and configuring / managing reporting and knowledge transfer to other support staff.

• Experience and knowledge of Microsoft AppLocker and PowerShell.

Desirable Criteria

• Strong technical understanding of Broadcom DCS, including configuring and optimising the product.

• Strong understanding of the Essential Eight Application Control mitigation strategy, and the applicable Information Security Manual (ISM) controls, and how to implement them within Broadcom DCS.

• Experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing periodical patch, bug fixes and major system upgrades for Broadcom DCS.

• Experience in upgrading from Broadcom DCS version 6.7.x to 6.9.x.
