The Acute Medical Unit is a diagnostic and emergency treatment unit within acute medicine with a varied workload. We are looking for a Staff Nurse with Acute Care experience to complete our team.We pride ourselves on having an integrated friendly and welcoming team made up of Allied health professionals including Doctors, Nurses and Therapists. We work closely with all the departments and areas within the hospital including with our colleagues from Accident and Emergency, our ambulatory care team and all the ward staff. We currently assess/triage and admit patients with acute medical conditions from a variety of sources – including GPs, the Emergency Department and Outpatients Clinics.Whether you are just starting out on your Nursing career, looking for a change of job, working in a Nursing Home or even returning to practice, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you, our team is both friendly and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care.The acute medical patients can present with a variety of problems, such as sepsis and substance misuse. • Previous experience of working in a hospital setting
• Previous experience of chosen speciality
• Good IT skills
