As an Associate IT Workplace Engineer, you will provide support to the IT Services function delivering planned or requested activities, in order to effectively deliver high quality services to our customers.Day-to-day, you’ll be delivering planned or requested activities, which will depend on the requirements of the individual task in order to effectively deliver high quality services to our customers.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the UK Head of IT Services and the UK Shared Services function in the delivery of IT Services to QinetiQUndertaking maintenance on managed systems where directedProviding operational, service support during incident and problem management activitiesAssisting in the building, installation and configuration of managed ICT services in line with the company’s product set and customer requirementsRemotely assisting network management teams with “remote hands” for fault diagnosis/fix of the corporate data & voice networks and cabling infrastructureEssential experience of the Associate IT Workplace Engineer:Strong experience with IT delivery / support methodologiesStrong knowledge of relevant IT Technologies, such as M365, ITIL or AzureHighly customer focused and concerned with meeting and exceeding customer expectationsExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsEssential qualifications for the Associate IT Workplace Engineer:Full driving licence essentialWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week based at our Boscombe Down site.MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems.
