We’re currently engaged in a search for an Associate Engineer to lead the Water Services Team of an established consulting engineers practice in Cork. It’s an excellent step for those eager to excel in a progressive and inventive Engineering and Environmental Consultancy. In this position, you will assume the responsibility in managing and advancing water services projects for both private and public clients.Responsibilities:
- Oversee and prepare preliminary design reports for a diverse range of projects, encompassing both private and public clients, with a focus on Design and Build (D+B) Contracts.
- Create detailed tender documents, scope of works, specifications, and pricing documents to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Provide diligent supervision and contract administration for Water Services projects in the field, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Lead and manage the Water Services Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Engage with clients to understand project requirements, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Apply your extensive knowledge and experience in Civil Engineering to a wide variety of Water Services Projects, including network design, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), rising mains, and fire protection projects.
- Utilize software tools such as Micro-drainage, Civil 3D, and GIS to enhance project design and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the Water Services Team.
Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status is a prerequisite
- Demonstrated experience in a broad spectrum of Water Services Projects
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project stakeholders
