Job Title: Associate Director – Quantity Surveying (Consultancy)
Location: Waterford
Type: Permanent Role
Salary: €85,000–€95,000+ (DOE)About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to step into an Associate Director-level role, or for an experienced Associate Director seeking a new challenge in a dynamic consultancy environment. The position is based in Waterford, focusing on high-profile projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, civil engineering, and pharmaceutical developments. Can cater for the candidates experience/expertise in terms of sector.Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage cost consultancy services for a range of public and private sector projects.
• Prepare and oversee development budgets, feasibility appraisals, and financial reports.
• Implement value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
• Manage tender documentation, analyze returns, and oversee contract administration.
• Provide detailed programme analysis and cost reporting.
• Administer contracts for both building and civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Mentor and manage support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Requirements:

• Chartered or working towards chartership, with a B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8–12 years post-qualification experience (PQS experience preferred).
• Proven track record in managing complex projects, including pharmaceutical developments.
• Proficient in preparing tender documentation, cost reports, and contract administration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work proactively within multidisciplinary project teams.
