Job Description

Our diverse Melbourne-based Building Services Team are looking for an Associate Director-level Electrical Engineer to join their team. You will provide technical guidance and leadership across the electrical discipline on a variety of major projects including aviation, defence, infrastructure and health.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Lead large, multi-disciplinary projects across various sectors, serving as both Project Manager and Design Manager to ensure successful delivery and execution.

  • Enhance technical expertise and maintain quality within the electrical engineering team, acting as the primary point of contact for resolving technical queries and challenges on projects.

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing coaching, guidance, and support to foster growth and professional development within the team.

  • Collaborate with Team and Project Leads to ensure seamless project execution, including resource allocation, project planning, and driving business growth across the division.

  • Work closely with Technical Directors and the Building Services Practice Lead to maximize technical output, elevate client service, and pursue strategic project opportunities within the Victoria and South Australia markets.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Ideally, 14 + years’ experience within the Electrical Engineering field with extensive experience in designing and delivering Building Services projects across Australia.

  • Electrical Engineering Degree alongside appropriate membership and accreditation (CPEng and RPEV).

  • Demonstrated track record in leading major, multidisciplinary projects across aviation, health, defence or infrastructure.

  • Outstanding technical capability within the Electrical Engineering field with a strong working knowledge of Australian standards, building codes and other regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work alongside internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

  • Firm commitment to sustainability principles and engineering best practices.
