Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager to support an Environment & Planning team. This role involves assisting the Senior Project Manager in the technical and financial delivery of projects, focusing on Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR), planning, and related environmental deliverables. You will collaborate with environmental experts and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and in line with client expectations.Requirements:
- Honours Degree (NFQ Level 8) in Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting environmental reports
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and Irish planning policy/legislation
- Membership in an environmental professional organisation is desirable
- Experience in renewable energy and large-scale projects is advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Motivated with a commitment to technical excellence
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering EIAR/PECR and other environmental deliverables
- Liaise with environmental experts and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Stay updated on planning and environmental legislation, and policy changes
- Support project coordination with clients, subconsultants, and stakeholders
- Assist in managing project finances, including drafting invoices and tracking cash flow
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS/EMS/OHSAS)
- Support in project governance, including preparing briefs, pricing schedules, and securing client approvals
- Help monitor project scope changes, ensuring clients are informed of cost and timeline implications
