ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER, CUMBRIA, CIRCA £43,000HIGH QUALITY 4* HOTEL AND WEDDING VENUEINDEPENDENT HOTEL GROUP, ACCOMODATION OPTIONSBenefits include:Starting salary of £31,000Superb modern self contained apartment available with the roleStraight shifts on a 48 hour working weekPrestigious Country InnA real highlight on any CVProven progressionGreat support structureBe part of an exciting growing independent company with great expansion plansBe part of a professional set up, no shouty chefs or disorganised structures here!!Our Independent client operate this prestigious 4* hotel & wedding venue in Cumbria, commutable to Windermere, Ambleside & KeswickThe Assistant General Manager is a key member of the management team and is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel.The Assistant General Manager will also be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the hotel staff, ensuring that all guests receive a high level of service.Responsibilities:Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotelProvide leadership and direction to the hotel staffEnsure that all guests receive a high level of serviceOversee the financial operations of the hotelDevelop and implement marketing plansManage the hotel’s human resources departmentResolve guest complaintsMaintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employeesThe ideal Assistant General manager candidate will be able to demonstrate:5+ years of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a management positionStrong leadership and management skillsExperience delivery 5 star hospitality for large weddings and eventsExperience delivering a 1st class hospitality & service experience, in a busy, hands-on high volume, multi outlet venueAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in back of house systems & H&S complianceKnowledge of the hotel industry and best practicesHave a friendly yet professional personaBe a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around youBe able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the front of house teamControlling the staff management and training along with ordering and stock control.Have the ability to self-manage and the ability to adapt and improvise to changing situations.If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, or if you would like to discuss any similar positions we currently have throughout the region then please send your CV through the link here, or call Eddy Nuttall in the Dish hospitality office for more information
