Your day-to-day

  • Develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue

  • Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed

  • Manage daily sales activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right resourcing

  • Hit all personal/team sales revenue goals and maximise profitability

  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing, create, develop and execute on strategies related to short and long term sales performance for the Hotel to ensure total revenue goals are achieved

  • Execute sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales

  • Ensure the Account Management Grid (AMG) is kept up to date and correctly reflects the current performance by account

  • Monitor account performance and produce monthly reports and forecasts to analyse current/potential trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure sales activities meeting or exceeding established revenue plans.

  • Identify new source markets and create strategies to penetrate them.

  • Actively pursue opportunities to enlarge the sales base, create an ongoing pipeline, and successfully shift business from the competition.

  • Form strategic alliances and partnerships to develop opportunities to develop business, activities and promotions to build awareness; and raise the profile of the Crowne Plaza Adelaide to their customer bases.

  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing, develop and manage sales budgets and expenses to generate maximum returns.

  • Work closely with Revenue Management and ensure that pricing and yield management principles are being communicated and implemented by the entire sales team.

  • Provide creative input to innovative product development and new revenue opportunities
