Job Summary

The Associate Director of Sales leads and motivates a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve individual and collective hotel goals. This is a dynamic leadership position which involves developing and executing strategic sales plans to maximize accommodation and function occupancy, meeting and exceeding revenue targets. The role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with key clients, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with the marketing team to create effective promotional strategies. An understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and the ability to identify new business opportunities is required.

  • Demonstrating Leadership – Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.

  • Developing and Building Teams – Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

  • Coaching and Developing Others – Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Ensure regular effective performance appraisals are conducted and all associates achieve their development plans. Ensure all associates meet their training requirements.
