We are recruiting on behalf of Eduthing where you will gain valuable experience as a Level 3 Information Communications Technician, following the Support Technician pathway. We pride ourselves on the support we give our apprentices, you won’t be left on your own to figure things out, we will support you throughout your apprenticeship journey together with your employer!

Role Summary:
You will have a passionate interest in IT and IT-related services and have some technical know-how with IT equipment such as computers, networking equipment tablets, and mobiles.
Working with the support of the service desk team, you be providing day-to-day IT services support to resolve issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
You will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, providing timely resolutions and promoting maintenance.
You will promote positive and professional relationships with our schools and care about the outcomes of the support you and the Company provide.
You will have good communication skills and the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly.
Development:

• Observing and listening to more experienced colleagues

Technical:

• Basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
• Support system and user account setup, including password resets and permissions
• Assist with installing, configuring, and updating software and operating systems
• Commitment and performance on the apprenticeship programme
• Safeguarding training and awareness

Communication & Collaboration:

• Contributes to ideas and group discussions
• Communicate confidently with schools both written and verbal
• Asks for help when needed
• Engages with all communication platforms across our business

The training you’ll be provided with:

• Comprehensive introductory modules including technical introduction and personal/ professional development
• Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship standard
• Training for all pathways of your IT career (support technician, network technician, digital communications technician)
• Specialising in a portfolio of evidence for the Support Technician pathway
• e-learning training materials
• Bi-weekly virtual classroom training on the CompTIA vendor qualifications
• Access to uCertify training platform; core learning materials, assessments, and practical hands-on-labs
• Monthly work-based coaches visits and competency checks
• 9 am – 5 pm Support desk for technical support

You will also have the opportunity to network with a range of other apprentices on our programme who can share ideas, offer suggestions and support. Our apprentices love being able to help each other!
As one of our apprentices, you will also have access to our online portal that will provide you with information and technical guidance, as well as links to the helpdesk to speak to technicians who can give real-time advice and support.

Working Week:
Monday to Friday, 38.75 hours per week, 9am to 5:30 pm.
Salary:
National Minimum wage according to your age.
Desired Qualifications:
We require someone who is educated to GCSE standard English and Maths grade 4 (or above), or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths
Expected Duration:
Months 1- 3: Induction and on the job training
Months 4 – 15: practical learning period with apprenticeship provider (you will be given 1 day a week of protected learning time
Months 16 -18: end point assessment period (coursework and final assessment)Where a Primary Goal apprenticeship can take you:
This is a great opportunity for you to develop skills that will enhance your networking career. On passing your Primary Goal apprenticeship, you will gain professional recognition for the Register of IT Technician (RITTech)
We also offer a progressive step in some cases, onto our Level 4 Network Engineer apprenticeship programme.
