My client is a leading professional services firm in Dublin 1 who are seeking to hire an Applications Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative team.You will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions using the latest technology tools and platforms and will work closely with various stakeholders across the firm, including lawyers, business services teams, IT, and external suppliers, to understand their needs, provide consultancy and training, and ensure the smooth delivery and adoption of the solutions.This role is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in legal innovation and technology, and to contribute to the firm’s strategy and growth in this area.Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate legal technology projects with legal experts and business services teams.
  • Manage and enhance legal technology applications like HighQ, Kira, and DocuSign.
  • Provide first-level technical support and liaise with product suppliers.
  • Oversee system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Design and maintain internal software solutions using PowerApps, PowerBI, and SharePoint.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and training on technology tools to lawyers and clients.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the firm.

Key skills and Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in application solutions design and support with client-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of current technology trends in professional services and AI-enabled legal technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with collaboration platforms, document automation, machine learning/AI, no-code platforms, and legal tech solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate technology products and vendors for compatibility with firm’s technology and security requirements.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Power BI/Tableau; coding (e.g., C#, JavaScript/Java) and SQL experience preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
  • Self-motivated, client-focused, adaptable, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to build relationships and work with various stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
