Application Engineer

What you’ll do:

We are looking to hire an Application Engineer to work closely with our project and sales teams, consultants, and end users to understand customer requirements for major projects. The ideal candidate will post sales AutoCAD drawing submissions, engineering calculations, and resolve technical issues. A key feature of this role will see the successful applicant work closely with Eaton engineers and salespeople on specifications and solutions by leveraging their experience and qualifications.

Other duties include:

• BOM and Item Creation for local ETO manufacture.
• Provide engineering interface with Eaton overseas factor for ETO systems.
• Prepare and modify technical documentation and drawing for submission to the customer for sign off and manufacture.
• Provide technical support to local and overseas manufacturing of PQ systems.
• Create mechanical and electrical drawings to support post sales project delivery.
• Coordinate, supervise and conduct factor acceptance test.
• Provide technical support to sales, bid, and project teams on project solutions.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering mandatory with technical experience and knowledge of critical power products and systems
• 3 years of industry experience in either UPS, DC Power, battery systems, low or medium voltage electrical and mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process from sales order to product delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
