We currently have a vacancy for an Application Cloud Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks

• Design, plan, document and implement the configuration and release management process for systems with parallel development and continuous test and integration into the production stream, while frequently re-aligning the parallel code branches to minimize integration effort;
• Monitor and focus on the continuous integration and development process and maintain the process of versioning configuration changes, such as major releases, minor releases, hotfixes, etc.;
• Design, implement plan, and monitor a code branching model allowing parallel development, tracking of features, preparation of production releases, and quickly fixing live production problems;
• Design, plan, and implement integration strategies and patterns in a JEE/HTTP-secured ecosystem as well as workflows, such as business process definition and task definition (service or user tasks) relying on APIs and business events;
• Design, implement and document APIs to be exposed securely on a public-facing API Gateway.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Excellent knowledge of dependency management frameworks such as Maven and Gradle as well as Git concepts, including branching, versioning, and merging;
• Excellent knowledge of integration testing best practices and pipeline tools, such as GitLab, Bamboo and Jenkins;
• Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Service Oriented Architecture and cloud-native architectures;
• Good knowledge of distributed or microservice architectures and complex event processing;
• Good knowledge of Relational databases, Enterprise Architecture, and business process analysis;
• In-depth knowledge of application design and modeling tools;
• Proven experience with the process of versioning configuration changes (code level);
• Knowledge of interoperability technology, such as web services;
• Excellent command of the English language.
