Job DescriptionMy Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an AML KYC Analyst. This is a daily rate contract for initially a 6 months with a view to go longer.My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an AML KYC Analyst. This is a daily rate contract for initially a 6 months with a view to go longer. The AML KYC Analyst will provide support to the Senior AML Analyst with the review and remediation of customer due diligence files.Job Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 and its amendments. This involves ensuring all customer due diligence is accurately conducted and remediated, conducting ongoing AML risk reviews, and assisting with the reviews of transactions involving high-risk jurisdictions.
  • PEP and Special Interest Oversight: Assist in periodic reviews of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Relatives and Close Associates (RCAs), and Special Interest Persons to ensure heightened scrutiny as required.
  • Governance & Risk Assessment
  • Policy Updates: Stay updated with changes in AML-related legislation and guidelines, and help implement these changes within the institution.
  • Procedure Management: Assist in the revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with current AML policies.
  • Reporting
  • Management Reporting: Help prepare and distribute key AML reports to executive management and board committees.
  • Suspicious Activity Reports (STRs): Assist in the preparation and submission of STRs to relevant authorities after approval from the Head of Financial Crime and MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer).
  • Project Engagement: Participate in projects related to customer onboarding and other AML initiatives as per business requirements.

Experience Required

  • Prior experience in an AML/KYC analyst role is essential, demonstrating familiarity with business functions and systems pertinent to AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing of Terrorism).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and quality of work are crucial in this role
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Accuracy and Timeliness: Ensure precise and timely completion of CDD (Customer Due Diligence) and other AML tasks.
  • Policy Contribution: Actively contribute to the development and update of AML policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Issue Remediation: Engage actively in the remediation of identified issues and escalate complex problems to senior analysts.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • This role demands a blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensuring that the organization remains compliant with all relevant AML and CFT regulations. It’s a critical role that directly impacts the integrity and compliance posture of the financial institution.

Educational Requirements

  • 3rd level education in an economic or numerical discipline
  • Suitable AML qualification or Licentiate of the Association of Compliance Officers of Ireland (LCOI) (desirable)
