Your role will involve researching and developing advanced control methods for these systems to minimize energy consumption and enhance their lifespan. Together with this team, you will work towards applying academic research in optimization and artificial intelligence to these systems. You will be responsible for delivering solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders. Your duties will encompass the entire development process, including research, prototyping, implementation, and final product delivery, along with post-market support. You enjoy working with a diverse group of people, taking initiative, and are passionate about innovation. You are hands-on and believe in the principle that everything can always be improved. But it will also be your task to keep track of new evolutions in a broad range of technologies and gradually add extra knowledge and expertise to the team.This team values strong relationships with various partners from industry, academics, and research institutions to support our knowledge. Together with the team, you will improve compressed air systems globally and work towards reducing the environmental impact of these systems.What we expect of you?RequirementsYou have a technical education background (Master in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics or related engineering field), a PhD is a plus.Experience in programming using different simulation environments (Matlab, Simulink, …) and/or high-level languages (Python, …)Strong interest in control theory, signal processing, dynamics of complex systems, artificial intelligence, and algorithm development.You are eager to develop strong domain-specific knowledge.You are passionate about the newest trends in embedded control systems, control algorithms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.You have an affinity for software development or are willing to learn.Experience with embedded C/C++ programming, git, and development in a Linux environment is a plus.Excellent oral and written communication skillsPersonalityYou are analytical, curious, and eager to learn.You can operate with a high degree of autonomyYou take ownership and technical leadYou are result-drivenYou try new ideas, methods, and technologies because you are convinced there is always a better way.You like to investigate the root causes of technical problems and challenges.You stay on top of the latest innovations and promising technologiesYou have a great sense of entrepreneurshipDiverse by nature and inclusive by choice
