You will work on the foundations of the simulation engine and the control framework. This framework contains the next generation of central control algorithms. Furthermore, it allows researchers to test innovative ideas and quickly try AI-based algorithms. Together with this team, you will be responsible for the whole development process from prototype, implementation, and testing to the final product delivery. You will be in charge of transforming the use cases of our stakeholders, together with academic prototypes, into finished products that will reduce the overall consumption of compressed air networks. You like working together with a large group of people, taking the initiative, being passionate about innovations, being hands-on, and being convinced everything can be done in a better way. Together with these researchers, you will improve compressed air systems worldwide and reduce the environmental impact of these systems.What we expect of you?RequirementsA passion to develop for embedded hardwareExperience with embedded C/C++ programmingComfortable with developing and debugging in a Linux environmentKnowledge of GitExperience with software build systems cmake & makeKnowledge of embedded Linux operating system design (e.g., using Yocto or Buildroot) is a plusExperience in programming using different simulation environments (Matlab, Simulink, …) and high-level languages (Python, R, …) is a plusYou are interested in the newest trends in embedded control systems, control algorithms, machine learning and artificial intelligence.Excellent oral and written communication skillsPersonalityYou are able to operate with a high degree of autonomyYou take ownership and technical leadYou are result drivenYou try new ideas, methods and technologies because you are convinced there is always a better wayYou like to investigate root causes of technical problems and challenges.You stay on top of the latest innovations and promising technologiesYou have a great sense of entrepreneurshipDiverse by nature and inclusive by choice
