We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a background in AI and data-driven initiatives to join the team at Mediolanum in Dublin on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the delivery of a large-scale strategic AI programme consisting of 20+ projects spanning multiple business domains. Sitting within the IT and Analytics function, you will be responsible for managing project lifecycles, ensuring the successful implementation of AI and cloud-based solutions, and driving cross-functional collaboration.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and chair project meetings, workshops, and steering committees with stakeholders across Investments, Risk, Product, Finance, Operations, and other business units.
- Manage project budgets, track progress, and report on key deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
- Oversee cross-functional Agile delivery teams, providing clear direction, removing blockers, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a primary point of contact between business and technical teams.
- Monitor project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating when necessary.
- Champion adherence to architectural and data governance standards, including data modelling, acquisition, and metadata management.
- Support change management activities, including user training, adoption planning, and post-implementation reviews.
- Maintain centralised project documentation, knowledge repositories, and status reporting to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across the programme. •Strong project management skills, including mastery of project planning, resource management, and risk mitigation.
- Good level of AI literacy and understanding of AI technologies, cloud platforms, and data-driven business transformation.
- Familiarity with project management and delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall), with the ability to tailor approaches as required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive consensus and facilitate decision-making across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to managing competing priorities and project dependencies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure AI/Foundry, Snowflake (AI), or other cloud AI warehousing solutions is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and project documentation.
- Proficiency in Jira or teamwork or another project management software solution.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within a complex programme structure. •Degree in a relevant technical, business, or project management discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Project Manager role, preferably within transformation or IT delivery programmes.
- Demonstrated experience in managing AI or data science initiatives, with a focus on operational impact and change management.
- Experience in Financial Services and exposure to Asset Management, Funds, or Life Insurance is beneficial but not essential.
- Proven experience delivering complex app, software or data science projects in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
