Meath Job descriptionWhat’s the Role: Activity FacilitatorWhat It Takes:An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.Where You Would Work: Dunboyne Day Service, Co. MeathDunboyne Day Service is an adult day service (for adults/school leavers of mixed gender aged from 18 years of age upwards.) We provide appropriate quality care and support for individuals with an intellectual disability/autism.Dunboyne Day Service is located in Business Park based in Dunboyne village, Co. Meath. We are surrounded by lots of great amenities such as local parks and playgrounds, swimming pools, shopping centres, local church, local library, gym and sports centres. The service has ample access to public transport such as Dublin Bus and Dunboyne train station. We focus on person centred planning and supporting individuals to achieve their own goals, as well as recognizing that each individuals needs are very different and unique to them.
