On 14th May 2024, it was announced that Flutter would be moving its primary listing from the UK to the US, and its global operational headquarters from Dublin to New York (effective 31st May 2024).Role Overview/Purpose:An exciting opportunity exists to join the Client Funds Reconciliations team, which is responsible for efficient control and management of customer cash, the safeguarding of which is an integral part of Flutter’s strategy.The role would be responsible for leading a team of Reconciliations Analysts to accurately identify and reconcile all customer account balance impacting transactions. Included as part of this is the daily reconciliation of all client deposit and withdrawals, transfer of funds to/from products and promotional credits issued.The position will also involve closing the processor and bank reconciliations at month end, helping to ensure that the team delivers to the deadlines required.In addition, there will be opportunities to work on key projects to integrate and align ways of working across the Flutter Group.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of a team of analysts and driving their personal development.Management of the Reconciliation Analyst’s rota to deliver the daily, weekly and monthly objectives of the team.Review and sign off the Daily Outstanding Reports, assigning actions as necessary.Delivery of completed month end recs in line with month end timelines.Supervising the reconciliation process of weekly card invoices.Producing Daily Player Liability Reporting and requesting bank transfers to ensure compliance with local regulations.First point of escalation for the rest of the team regarding problem reconciliations and other daily issues as and when they occur.Support on delivery of projects impacting Client Funds reconciliations.Liaise with various stakeholders, including Finance, Treasury, Operations, and external processors, to resolve reconciliation issues and discrepancies.Effective and timely communication with the Senior Client Funds Manager, including reporting of any material financial exceptions and liabilities as they arise.Managing relationships across geographical locations, with many key stakeholders being situated in the US, Dublin, Cluj, the Isle of Man and Leeds.Awareness of the financial control framework, identifying and highlighting any potential risks.Skills and ExperienceProven ability to lead a team.Strong educational background to degree level.Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, combined with a proactive approach to work and a desire to progress.Proficient in use of standard IT packages (especially Excel).Working knowledge of an automated reconciliation tool.Experience of using SQL, or similar data tools, would be advantageous.Professional, combined with good time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills.High level of attention to detail and trustworthiness due to sensitive nature of customer information.Proactivity and innovation – capacity to take the initiative to identify improvements in process and assist management in implementation.Articulate, with the ability to communicate both within the team and to members of the wider business in a concise manner.Flexible, enjoying a frequently changing and fast paced environment.BenefitsUncapped Holiday Allowance (you read that right!)Enhanced Pension Scheme (please ask for your location and we will share)Bonus SchemePrivate healthcare (with option to add dependent)Life Assurance ,Income protection€/₤1,000 annual self-development learning fund & Access to thousands of Udemy courses€/£250 annual Wellbeing fundInvest via the Company Share save Scheme, Discount vouchers, Volunteering days.Enhanced Parental Leave and paid time off for appointments.
