Excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing construction group who are based in Meath. Working as part of a Finance team of 5, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for managing end to end accounts payable processes, vendor management and managing key client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are accurately recorded and processed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitoring and handling the daily activities of the Accounts Payable email inbox.
  • Establishing new vendor profiles in the system, including confirming banking information by directly contacting suppliers for independent verification.
  • Conducting reconciliations of supplier accounts and addressing any inquiries or issues from suppliers.
  • Facilitating clear communication across all company departments to ensure timely approval of invoices for payment and resolution of any related concerns.
  • Administering supplier payments through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), ensuring timely and accurate processing, including managing Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) submissions.
  • Supporting the annual audit process by addressing audit-related questions and providing necessary documentation.
  • Providing backup support to other members of the Finance team as needed.
  • Participating in special projects and tasks as required.

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience working with complex/multiple item invoices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience with RCT invoices/construction industry experience is an advantage
