We are delighted to be partnering with an organisation who are known for being a leader in their field to assist in the search for an Accounts Assistant to join their team here in Cork.This individual will be working closely with a skilled, approachable and welcoming mentor/Finance Manager and would be part of a team that is making a real impact in the construction industry in Cork.Flexible, hybrid working arrangements available. This role is based halfway between Cork and Killarney and will be a 12 month contract.ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Conduct bank, creditor, and credit card reconciliations.
• Validate and prepare invoices for managerial approval.
• Process all company invoices by month-end
• Weekly supplier payments according to agreed terms.
• Handle creditor reconciliations and manage queries.
• Manage subcontractor invoices and ensure compliance.
• Maintain financial security and compliance protocols.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.
• Assist with month-end reporting and manage the nominal ledger.
• Cover payroll when needed.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong Excel Skills
• Disciplined and consistent approach to following process and procedures
• Ability to work well when under pressure and meet expected deadlines.
