As an Accountant at Merkator Group, you’ll leverage your academic background in Accountancy or Finance, combined with hands-on experience in both accounting firms and in-house roles, to ensure our financial success. Your expertise will be key in driving the timely and accurate closing of our monthly and yearly accounts. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of our daily bookkeeping, managing every aspect from start to finish. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that all transactions—whether they involve expenses, provisions, payroll entries, depreciations, cost dimensions, or VAT declarations—are flawlessly handled. As you lead the crucial month-end closing processes, your precision and commitment to deadlines will ensure everything is accounted for seamlessly.Your technical savvy will allow you to effortlessly navigate the necessary tools, such as Isabel and Adfinity, along with the common Office packages. You’ll also oversee the entire sales invoicing process, from creation to dispatch and follow-up, working closely with our project management office to keep our cash flow in check. As the go-to expert for internal customers, you’ll be the trusted advisor for all accounting queries, with fluency in Dutch, English, and ideally French, enabling you to deliver top-notch service across our team.
