We are seeking a pro-active, results driven, energetic Account Manager , with strong previous experience in and knowledge of ICT infrastructure, datacenters and datacenter buying behaviors.

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for executing the in-country sales strategy for the datacenter infrastructure business, whilst working in close coordination with in-country and regional field sales and systems engineering teams. You are expected to position COMMSCOPE building infrastructure solutions into multi-tenant, traditional on-premises, and other large Datacenter opportunities to secure and grow revenue with defined accounts.

The position requires a fair understanding of the Datacenter ecosystem, technology trends and telecommunications infrastructure requirements. Candidates will need to understand the commercial and technical priorities of Datacenter operators, and how to influence the technology choices that are being made. The ideal candidate would be from a technology organization and have a successful track record of selling ICT or building services infrastructure solutions to Datacenters.

It is advantageous for the successful candidate to possess professional qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Communication Engineering, Business or similar and possess the following:

  • 5+ years relevant experience with a strong track record of successful customer management, with a consistent track record of high performance in sales

  • You will have strong interpersonal and initiation skills and a proven track record in building relationships

  • Strong experience in sales, business development or account management within the technology industry.

  • Proven ability to close deals with new logos & increasing wallet share with existing logos

  • Proven ability to manage, grow and nurture large accounts

  • Skilled in planning and communicating plans to ensure successful execution

  • Ability to create a value proposition based on customer needs and identified gaps

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills

  • Strong team player capable of working cross-functionally with other teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex issues

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to exercise initiative and achieve outcomes

  • Computer literacy with an ability to interpret reports and information

  • Advanced skills and experience in the use of MS Office

  • Experience using D365 or similar CRM databases tools 

  • Well-developed and proven commercial skills

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Self-driven, energetic and enthusiastic

  • Able to travel 20% within the region
