Apprenticeship
As part of this opportunity you will also complete an apprenticeship in partnership with SCL one of the leading specialists in apprenticeship delivery.
Learners benefit from a flexible and blended learning journey, helping them apply digital marketing principles and skills to a range of real-life scenarios – gaining valuable workplace skills faster.
Upon completion you will be awarded the Level 3 Buying & Merchandising Assistant apprenticeship standard.
Length of course – 18 months

About The Role
We are delighted to announce we are looking for a Merchandising Apprentice.
The Merchandising Assistant will support the team with key administrative tasks as well as purchase order raising and managing the delivery schedule which includes chasing and tracking of orders to ensure goods are delivered in the agreed lead time. Working with household beauty names such as Aesop, The Ordinary, Elemis, Benefit and many more.
The Merchandising team is responsible for the end to end management of stock within the business from planning and managing intake into the business and maximizing the stock profile to drive sales and profit. Working in collaboration with buying, trading and commercial marketing to drive product opportunities, build brand relationships and meet business targets.
What you’ll be doing
- End to end Purchase Order management with long term focus on reaching optimum on site stock availability; ensuring that all orders are on track for on time delivery through maintenance of the team delivery schedule.
- Escalate and highlight critical path opportunities or concerns to line manager.
- Daily supplier communication regarding orders placed and upcoming deliveries. Updating the system with order feedback and amendments.
- Reviewing and resolving inbound issues with Supply and Warehouse teams; liaising with suppliers and buyers to resolve queries.
- Building collaborative working relationships with buying counterpart working towards department strategy.
- Supporting the AM and Merchandiser with excel reporting, analysis, data entry and general administrative duties.
- Heavy system usage across various platforms; ranging from PO raising, completing amendments and report distribution.
- Responsible for general housekeeping duties.

- £22,208 starting salary per annum

Apprentice Entry Requirements
- 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 4+ (C or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or a higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
- Right to work in the UK with proof of residency for the last 3 years.
