Do you have Leadership experience in facilities management, health and safety, operational compliance and passionate about delivering an inclusive environment? Do you understand the context of the climate emergency and sustainability and implications for our working environments? Would you relish helping ensure Scotland’s public health authority is best placed to improve Scotland’s public health and tackle inequalities? If so, we’d be delighted to hear from you.This post will lead on all areas of operational management ensuring we provide safe and inclusive places for our colleagues to work from. You will also lead the final stages of our exciting office move in Glasgow. You will also provide leadership in the development of our approach to hybrid working and lead on initiatives that support equality diversity and inclusion. Coupled with this you will lead on organisational compliance specifically in respect of whistleblowing, internal audit, business continuity and organisational policies.The post holder will lead a team to deliver on these critical services that support an effective organisation with a focus on delivering successful outcomes and providing professional advice and expert interpretation to stakeholders, customers and staff in line with the strategic objectives of PHS.The candidate:You’ll be a highly skilled graduate (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in a relevant key specialist area, preferably within a Business Operations role. You’ll have gained specialist knowledge in estates management and development, health and safety, and organisational compliance. You must be experienced in collaborative working and in developing effective and positive relationships with key stakeholders and providing a positive role model for partnership working and relationship management.Bringing demonstrable experience in business operations in a large and functionally disparate organisation, you’ll demonstrate your ability to deliver a range of business operations services and customer focused solutions, using innovative and engaging techniques for a variety of audiences. You will be an inspirational and motivational leader with excellent team-working skills and a strong focus on delivering results.Location:The post is based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or at our temporary offices at Central Quay, Glasgow. We are currently hybrid working; therefore, you will be expected to spend time in both PHS offices as well as working from home.
