About Our Client:

Addison Group is working with our client, a growing healthcare organization, to hire a Trauma Registrar. This is a direct-hire, fully remote position available to candidates living in Florida.

Job Description:

The Trauma Registrar is responsible for ensuring complete and accurate data collection for trauma patients. This role supports quality improvement, research, and compliance initiatives by maintaining the trauma registry and collaborating with trauma program leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, review, and abstract trauma patient records for entry into the trauma registry database.
• Ensure all trauma-related data is accurate, timely, and compliant with state/national reporting requirements.
• Apply ICD-10-CM and trauma-specific coding systems (AIS, ISS, etc.) in daily documentation.
• Generate reports to support research, quality improvement, and regulatory audits.
• Partner with the Trauma Program Manager on projects, surveys, and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Health Information Management, medical coding, or related field.
• Open to Candidates that have current Trauma Registry experience
• Coding certification (CPC, RHIT, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Prior trauma or tumor registry experience highly valued.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding required.
• Must obtain Trauma Registrar Certification within 2 years (support provided).
