Our client is an established Tier 1 contractor with extensive operations in Ireland, UK, and Europe. Due to a full order book across all regions, our client is now looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Health & Safety Advisor for Energy sector. As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor you will be responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and leadership on all health and safety matters ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organisation. As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor you will take a proactive approach to identifying risks, implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and ensuring that employees and contractors work in a safe environment.Key Responsibilities & Requirements:Assist the Business Unit HSE Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry standards.Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementation of risk management strategies, ensuring that operations minimise/eliminate risks.Maintain comprehensive records of audits, inspections, and corrective actions, ensuring they are readily available for review.Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting findings, corrective actions, and lessons learned to prevent future occurrences.Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, contractors, and management teams to ensure awareness and understanding of safety procedures.Collaborate with senior management and other departments to develop safety policies, procedures, and best practices that align with business operations.Ensure the availability of appropriate emergency equipment and that all safety equipment is inspected and maintained in good condition.Attend meetings regularly & contribute to the best of your knowledge.Degree/ qualifications in Health and Safety Management/NEBOSH.6+ years’ experience as Senior Health & Safety Advisor within construction preferably with a good background in Energy, Decarbonisation, and Refurbishment sectors.Proven experience in Incident Investigation/ safety audits, managing risk assessments, and conducting safety training programs.Strong knowledge of updated health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.Proficiency in H&S software & tools.The ideal candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland with no visa restrictions.
