Network Architect – Contract – London/Hybrid – £420pd (inside IR35)My client, a leader in their field are seeking an experienced P4 Network Architect to support and drive technical operations within a complex and dynamic environment. This role involves hands-on work with Palo Alto Firewalls, SD-WAN Silver Peak, and Aruba/Ruckus Wireless Infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of network services across regional sites.THIS ROLE IS INSIDE IR35This hybrid position requires regular on-site work in London and participation in a 24/7 global coverage plan, including on-call rotations and weekend/holiday coverage.Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management & Troubleshooting:

• Manage and resolve L2/L3 network issues across regional sites.
• Perform fault-finding analysis and log performance exceptions.
• Participate in war rooms for critical site issues.
• Ensure best practices for system and service management across environments.
• Technical Expertise & Infrastructure Support:

• Hands-on management of Palo Alto Firewalls, SD-WAN Silver Peak, and Aruba/Ruckus Wireless Infrastructure.
• Maintain switches, routers, and other network hardware.
• Fine-tune and configure network infrastructure for improved performance and scalability.
• Security & Compliance:

• Maintain access control and data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and SLA agreements.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with Network & Security Architects, Server & Platform Engineers, and Data Center Operations.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and service providers to resolve ISP-related issues.
• Handle escalation issues and prioritize tasks based on severity and customer impact.
• Documentation & Operational Efficiency:

• Create and maintain run books and SOPs for repeatable tasks.
• Prepare shift rosters and review IPCR tickets to ensure up-to-date records.
• Provide insights on network stability improvements and optimization strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:Mandatory Skills:

• Palo Alto Firewalls – Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting.
• SD-WAN Silver Peak – Configuration and maintenance expertise.
• Aruba/Ruckus Wireless Infrastructure – Strong wireless networking skills.
• HP DC/Branch Routers & Switches – Deployment and troubleshooting experience.
• Scripting – Proficiency in Shell, PowerShell, or Python.

Good to Have:

• AWS & Azure Infrastructure Services – Familiarity with cloud networking environments.
