IntroductionFor our client, a family-owned European center of excellence in the field of analytical laboratory Solutions we are looking for a Research Associate Mass Spectrometry.Job description

  • You support the in-depth analysis, identification, characterization and quantification of protein-based molecules such as monoclonal antibodies, antibody fragments, fusion proteins and enzymes, by using liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
  • You support the in-depth analysis, identification, characterization and quantification of protein-based molecules such as monoclonal antibodies, antibody fragments, fusion proteins and enzymes
  • You design experiments together with your supervisor and plan and execute the work at experiment/task level
  • You independently prepare buffers, solutions and samples and you set up the LC-MS instrument
  • You work according to specific instructions and you are responsible for the quality control and first analysis of the data you generate
  • You document and analyze the data and write basic reports of your results
  • You will be involved in a variety of projects with industrial and academic partners

Profiel

  • Knowledge of protein chemistry
  • Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • Passionate to work in the laboratory
  • Critical mindset and good sense for initiative and attention to quality and detail
  • Team player, client-minded, problem-solving mentality and flexible attitude
  • Well organized and managing daily activities independently
  • Capable of multitasking in an environment with changing priorities
  • Good communication skills (fluent in English, written and spoken)
  • Bachelor or Master degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical laboratory technology, biomedicine, pharmacy or equivalent qualification due to experience
  • Preferably a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an analytical lab environment where you have performed protein analysis on mass spectrometry
