Your New Role and Responsibilities
In this role you’ll help create the next generation of integrated robust, flexible and sustainable land communications capabilities. You’ll work with a team of diverse technical experts and industry partners to craft compelling solutions and approaches to meet demanding customer requirements for their major programs of record. In Leidos Australia you’ll underpin the timely delivery of solution outcomes to the customer meeting extensive requirements within a constrained budget and delivery timeframe.
You’ll report into Leidos Chief Engineer for Land and Sea Systems and be an integral part of Leidos Australia’s solution architecture community. In the role you will help Leidos secure new business in Land Communications through compelling technical thinking, solutions and approaches to customer challenges. You’ll also assist to mobilise new programs and provide technical oversight of our land communications research and development, generation and sustainment activities

Designing land communications solutions and approaches

Engaging technical thought leaders in Leidos globally and locally and with relevant industry stakeholders

Act as the SME and instil confidence with land communications customers and delivery partners
What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact
-
Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, computer science, or proven background of technical leadership within Defence/Industry delivering complex solutions

Experience managing all phases of the Defence capability life cycle, from requirements through development, acquisition, and sustainment.

Completion of ATSOC/CTMC or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in tactical operations and management in Defence environments.

Operational deployment experience, with a proven ability to manage challenges and execute Defence missions in dynamic, high-pressure environments.

Experience working with the LNIC, supporting integrated communications and network services, for Defence operations.

Familiarisation with tactical waveforms, cryptographic systems, tactical data links (Link 11, Link 16, Link 22, Variable Message Format (VMF))
