Careers at the von Karman Institute: Construct the future together!Today, we are looking for a Electronics Support Technician to complete our Electronic Laboratrory.Job DescriptionThe Electronics Support Technician will participate in preliminary studies, design and building of analogue & digital electronic systems, which form an integral part of our test facilities. Additionally, he/she will conduct various tests on circuits, assemblies and calibrating devices. He/she needs to demonstrate autonomy, meticulousness, technical curiosity, attention to safety and quality.You will:

  • Execute the preliminary studies and design of analogue & digital electronic systems.
  • Build electronic devices for signal processing, data acquisition and automation systems, etc.
  • Carry out on-time maintenance (preventive) and repair (corrective), if necessary.
  • Perform tests and make our electronic/signal processing and automation systems reliable, while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Report to the Electronics Support Engineer.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics or equivalent through experience.
  • Good knowledge of French or Dutch, and technical English.
  • Good knowledge of electronics and microcontroller programming (C-programming, MicroPython, …)
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering and 2D/3D drawing is an asset.
  • Team player, good communication skills.
