ResponsibilitiesControl Software Development

  • Develop control software following the Model-Based Development (V-cycle) process using Simulink.
  • Design and validate specific functions or modules within the application software, such as:
  • Driving strategy
  • Coordination
  • Clutch or gear actuation
  • Diagnostics
  • Functional safety

End-to-End Involvement in the Software Development V-Cycle

  • Define requirements in collaboration with customers.
  • Design control strategies based on defined specifications.
  • Implement control strategies in Simulink.
  • Verify functionality in a simulation environment (Model-in-the-Loop – MiL).
  • Support validation on additional test platforms, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), test benches, and vehicles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with various internal teams, including:
  • System Engineering
  • Functional Validation & Performance
  • Embedded Software
  • Testing
  • Simulation
  • Contribute to the realization of new powertrain technologies and products through seamless collaboration with these teams.

Qualifications

  • Master or PhD in Automotive, Mechatronics, Controls, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 5+ years of work experience as Controls Engineer in an automotive context
  • Knowledge about Powertrain Controls, including hybrid applications
  • Thorough knowledge of the Model-based software development process and experience with the tools Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow is mandatory
  • Hands-on experience testing on testbenches and in vehicles is a plus
  • You have basic knowledge of an embedded system environment
  • Knowledge of ASPICE, Functional Safety standard ISO26262 and Autosar standard is an asset
  • You proceed according to a good methodology in development and problem solving.
  • You are well organized and have strong analytical and communication skills.
  • You are an excellent team player. You are flexible and can accommodate in a changing organization.
