Take a step of faith and join an amazing work overseas! We are hiring a Regional Program Development Officer (RPDO) located in the Middle East. Use your gifts and experiences to support and coordinate with Samaritans Purse field offices in the pursuit and development of programs and grant proposals in the region. The RPDO will provide consultation in processes relating to the whole of project cycle management for the Middle East Region, and specifically related to program and grant proposals.
A day in the life of a Regional Program Development Officer, Middle East:

In the role of Regional Program Development Officer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Coordinate the development of programming and proposals for Samaritans Purse Middle East field offices using current Samaritans Purse program models and best practices, ensuring that all proposals follow timetables that allow for the input/review by the technical advisors and the finance department and involves the Technical Advisory Unit in the development process of proposal documents submissions.
- Build capacity of Samaritans Purse Middle East field offices and partner in general program development skills, behavior change communication, and qualitative evaluation skills.
- Collaborate with the International Headquarters (IHQ) Program Management Team (PMT) to support the implementation of best practice and minimum standards in Program Management and quality in the program life cycle.
- Build capacity of field offices and partners in building and maintaining strong monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems. This will include support to regular M&E as well as ad-hoc reports required by Samaritans Purse IHQ as well as to baseline, midline, endline and lessons learned reports.
- Support field offices to produce high quality assessments and data; providing a strong evidence base for proposal submissions.
- Build relationships on behalf of Samaritans Purse field offices with bilateral donors, International Non-governmental Organizations (INGOs), and other agencies including the emergency cluster and various NGO forums or networks in-country
- Align with the various Samaritans Purse Senior Program Managers and Program Development Officers regarding the rules and regulations of the field office and ensures that they are aware of all meetings, progress, and ideas being formulated.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in International Development with knowledge of international humanitarian response or other relevant field (preferable). Study in a related field or strong field-based experience will be considered, minimum three (3) years of professional experience in developing programs and writing grant proposals; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in developing programs and writing grant proposals.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within different cultural environments.
- Ability to work within a team structure or in isolation.
- Ability to cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications such as MS Office and Outlook.
- High level of integrity and stewardship.
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Travel Expectations: This position requires domestic travel of approximately 30 days/year and international travel of approximately 90 days/year. Domestic travel within country is required. Required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary.
