Amgen is looking for a passionate and experienced professional to drive medical affairs initiatives in the Bone therapeutic area. In this role, you’ll shape key strategies, collaborate with opinion leaders, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to advance patient care. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a solid background in medical affairs, this is your chance to make an impact. This role is also an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) ready to transition into a Medical Affairs position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the local medical plan, including advisory boards, medical education meetings, expert panels, and congress activities.

  • Provide scientific insights into local brand plans, ensuring patient perspectives and local standards of care are incorporated.

  • Engage with key stakeholders to gain insights and communicate clinical and scientific data effectively.

  • Review and approve promotional and scientific materials while ensuring compliance.

  • Manage the medical budget and support compassionate access programs

  • Deliver disease and product specific training to sales team and other brand team members

Win – What we expect of you

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in medicine, pharmacy, or related scientific discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical affairs as a Medical Advisor, clinical development or MSL role essential

  • Experience and established network of medical and clinical contacts in the Osteoporosis area strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of the Australian legal and regulatory environment governing healthcare and biopharmaceuticals, including Medicines Australia Code of Conduct

  • Residency and Permission to work in Australia, valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required is essential
