With a strong commitment to sustainability, health, and safety, our client fosters an inclusive and diverse working environment, championing professional growth and innovation.We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Consultant / PSDP to join a dynamic Health & Safety Consulting team in Ireland. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing expert safety advice. The ideal candidate will bring robust experience in construction and design safety, a passion for excellence, and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.Responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the PSDP under the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
- Reviewing designs and risk assessments for compliance with safety legislation.
- Participating in design coordination, site, and stakeholder meetings.
- Managing residual hazards and risks effectively.
- Providing expert advice to clients and designers to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Supporting internal and external teams on projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Overseeing contractor safety and reviewing their safety documentation.
- Managing projects, including financial oversight.
- Delivering health and safety consultancy services and support for project bids.
- Promoting quality assurance and environmental management principles within the organisation’s policies.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of the company’s safety culture and programmes.
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant Health & Safety Degree/Diploma (qualifying for IOSH membership) or an Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Ireland with post-qualification safety-specific training.
- A certificate of attendance at Engineers Ireland/ACEI PSDP CPD training.
- Proven knowledge of safety in design and construction safety.
- Strong skills in policy development, report writing, and time management.
- The flexibility to travel to project sites across Ireland
