The client brings in over 22 billion in revenue and 85% of the largest public companies on the Forbes global 2000 are clients.The global consultancy is seeking to add experienced platform engineers, who are ready to take on complex challenges in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate will have strong experience working with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and building infrastructure in AWS using terraform.Your Role as a Platform Engineer
- You will be undertaking cross functional engineering projects, working in close knitted teams with other Engineers with differing knowledge and experience to develop dependable sand reliable services.
- You’ll work with top of the range technology- To support the UK government in developing and delivering IT strategy based modern software specialising in microservice and cloud technology.
- You’ll get the chance to develop and progress as a platform engineer, working on large scale projects. You will have the chance to work with some of the best minds in engineering allowing you to constantly grow and develop.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer who has:
- Experience debugging complex, multi-server issues in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, ability to relay information concisely to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience of building infrastructure in AWS using terraform.
- Experience in automation tooling such as Ansible
- Strong understanding of CI environments and how they facilitate the automation process
Desirable skills as an experienced Platform Engineer:
- Core networking & Load balancing
- Jenkins/Concourse/Gitlab CI
- Git/Github/GITLab
- Graphite/Grafana/ELK/Prometheus
- SQL/NO-SQL DBs
- Hashicorp (Packer/Terraform/Vault/Consul)
