Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Advisor. The role is offered as a permanent full-time role.Salary: basic – £40,000 to £45,000 pa depending on relevant skills/experience+ 6% non-contractual annual bonusLocation: Dartford – other site visits within the EMEA regionBenefits: flexi time, 21 days leave rising to 26 with serviceHealth care/medical cover, life assurance, subsidized restaurant + lots moreThe Environmental Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for supporting the EHS Manager and all Department Managers in ensuring that the organisation complies with all current and future EHS legislation.The Environmental Health & Safety Advisor role is also responsible for the promotion and maintenance of a safe working environment for all company employees, contractors and visitors.Environmental Health & Safety Advisor requirements:Qualifications:
- Recognised H&S qualification is required at certificate level.
- Recognised Environmental management qualification diploma level (such as IEMA diploma).
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience as an EHS Advisor for at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical or similar industry.
- Practical experience of interpreting EHS legal requirements and explain to staff at all levels the implications for the business.
- Practical experience of translating EHS legal requirements into pragmatic solutions.
- Practical experience of carrying out Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments for complex tasks.
- Practical experience of managing and auditing contractors’ activities.
- Ability to prioritise changing demands and workload.
- Some experience in the development and delivery of training programmes
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
