Job Overview:

The Field Project Engineer (Subsea)Operations Engineer (Marine) applies their conceptual knowledge of the fieldOffshore Marine Construction Operations and with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward field problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures, as well as building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Field Project Engineer (Subsea)Operations Engineer (Marine) understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations through analysis of possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents. The Project Engineer (Subsea)Operations Engineer (Marine) provides technical and engineering support to an offshore construction project or tender. The Project Engineer (Subsea)Operations Engineer (Marine) may be involved in all stages of a project life cycle from providing technical support to an early engagement commercial pursuit through to final project close out. The role is an office based position, however regular on site field support (construction sites and offshore locations) is required to properly execute the job duties.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all work is carried out safely in compliance with Health, Safety, & Environment policies and procedures

• Prepare installation Procedures by the Level II procedure and with due regard for safety. The scope of procedures required will be defined by the Operations Engineer

• Recommended changes in the technical details, and drawings, where these may result in safer and better installation procedures

• Develop (or review those provided by others) loadout and sea fasteningmobilization and readiness plans for the transportation of materials/structures to the offshore that facilitate safe and timely installation

• Actively participate in project Job Safety Analysis, if applicable, and communicate and implement theserequisite control measures. Recommends changes in the technical details or drawings where these may result in safer and better installation procedures.

• Review and retain project drawings and documents, report to the Project Managerany discrepancies, errors, and omissions concerning the information required to perform the work

• Ensure the planned work is defined within the capabilities of the proposed equipment

• Maintain project files in the office and the field by in accordance with project requirements

• Prepare installation Procedure(s) by the Level II Procedure and with due regard for safety. The scope of procedures required will be defined by the Operations Engineersenior level engineer assigned to the project. As a minimum, the procedure(s) will outline the following:

o Methods, techniques, and practices to be used to perform work

o The sequence(Ss) to be used to perform work

o Installation aids, temporary works, and consumables required to perform the work

• Prepare material for construction materials and project consumables, and liaise with the project coordinator for procurement of requirements

• Issue “Loadout Mobilization Readiness CheckLlists” applicable to the work by the recommended practice

• Coordinate with various interfaces including Vessel Managers, Vessel Operations Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and others as necessary to Marine, E&M, and Diving Departments to ensure that necessary equipment, processes, and personnel are available and ready for the project

• Witness/inspect pre-mobilization readiness check and testing including pre-rigging, loadouts, and sea fastening, function testing, factory acceptance testing, system interface testing, etc. and acknowledge the receipt of fabricated structures, line pipes, and other materialsand readiness of the components for offshore installation. to be installed offshore. Developing checklists and inspecting loadouts by Level II Procedures

• Coordinate with the Production Engineers and verify loadouts of fabricated items required for the project

• Liaise with the customer representative and various subcontractor representatives at the offshore site and with the Operation Engineer.

• Ensure the contract/project-related documentation is maintained and/or transmitted to the Customer at the site:

o Review Daily Progress Reports

o Force AccountExtra Work Notification Sheets and/or Change Order Notification by as required in the contract specifications

o As-built documentation (sketches, records, videos) by approved procedures

• Monitor the progress of the work and site conditions and advise the Operations Engineerproject team of any development that may result in changes to the project and schedule and/or execution sequence

• Advise the barge SuperintendentOffshore Construction Manager (OCM) and/or Barge staffVessel Management Team (VMT) including Subcontractors (such as Surveyor, Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), Non Destructive Testing (NDT), Field Joint Coating (FJC), and Pile Monitoring personnel)Pre-Commissioning, and others as applicable regarding the planning and execution of the work and the contractual and technical aspects of the work. Issuing Issues field sketches, data sheets, and checklists in the field wereas required for information purposes for the Barge VMTStaff

• Participate in the resolution of any technical problems arising during offshore installation and assist in the formulation of corrective action requirements

• Overseeing the procurement of materials and installation aids associated with the assigned scope:

o Preparation of material requisitions.

o Presenting business case for major procurement items.

o Following up on approvals and technical review of proposed products.

o Following up to ensure items are delivered on time.

• Assisting oversight and management of Subcontractors, including:

o Preparation of subcontract scope of work.

o Technical review of subcontract proposals and preparation of technical bid evaluation.

o Management of technical and operational aspects of the assigned subcontract.

• Plan and supervise the execution of pipeline pigging and testing operations by approved project procedures. Responsibilities will include:

o Assist with procurement of all consumables

o Marshalling of all equipment

o Pigging and testing calculations and procedure preparation

o Supervise and document all operations operating instrumentation

o Complete pigging and testing reports

• Preparation of Design Input Overview for Construction Support Engineering and close out of the engineering

• Preparation of Work Orders for fabrication of installation aids and oversight of the fabrication to completion.

• Prepare Post-Job Reports by Level II Procedures

• Prepare/collate as-built documentation and records by the contract requirements and approved project indicesrequirements

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, subsea, ocean, petroleum, energy, or chemical preferred) or a related field

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• 7 years of experience in the Offshore industry

• Familiarity with project execution practices and engineering processes including general conceptual knowledge of offshore operations practices.

• Familiarity with offshore construction methods which could include some of the following: offshore pipelay, structure installation, floating facility installation, flex lay, subsea hardware installation, pre-commissioning, and/or decommissioning

• Proficiency in using project planning software including Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and/ Project)

• Understanding of engineering principles, technical drawings, and specifications

• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards within the EPCI industry

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
