We connect customers and consumers to our iconic products and create innovative experiences that bring people together to celebrate life.More about Diageo is available at its web site:Purpose of roleThe Head of Marketing Finance & Strategy leads finance for marketing, partners with the Marketing Director on investment decisions; and collaborates with the Diageo Ireland Executive team to develop strategy and drive growth and superior business performance.Key DeliverablesStrategic leadership and business partnering with the Marketing Director.Lead strategic planning for the market; collaborate cross-functionally across all levels of the business to model future growth drivers and translate them into a clear strategy that easily translates to execution and supports resource allocation.Ensure agile and disciplined A&P investment decisions to unlock business performance; identify and prioritize investments which align to the market strategy and outcome-based ways of working in marketing; and deliver the best return on investment in the short and long term.Champion a culture of M&E; leverage marketing effectiveness tools and econometric modelling for all investment decisions.Decision support for innovation; and strategic projects.Ensure appropriate governance and controls are in place for all investment decisions; and best in class process, data and tools are available to support marketing finance.Drive a culture of continuous improvement in the finance function through collaboration with the wider Ireland finance community and our global shared services business partners.Plays a critical role in driving business performance.Drive cashflow initiatives and positively support delivery of cash ambition for the business.Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities

  • Qualified Accountant or MBA with a strong academic record
  • Successful management of senior stakeholders
  • Strong business partnering experience, ideally in a commercial environment.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect.
  • Deep personal accountability for great performance
  • Strong end to end commercial FMCG understanding.
  • Ability to manage change and process improvement.
